Asterix's Tour of Gaul is the fifth volume in the Asterix comic book series, published in 1965, written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo
In this adventure, Roman Inspector Fleurdelotus is tasked with subduing Asterix’s village. Convinced that it is impossible to defeat the Gauls by force, he has a massive palisade built around the village to isolate them from the rest of Gaul. Asterix and Obelix then take up a challenge: to escape despite everything, travel around Gaul, and bring back local specialties as proof. After their escape, the Romans launched a massive manhunt for the two companions across the country.
